My Top Podcasts for 2018.
I have been listening to a lot of podcasts, on and off for the past two years now, but this year I made it a routine and I have been consistent.
I used to be a radio guy, till my Ex introduced me to the podcast world. Unlike radio, podcast allows me be in control. I get to play, pause and stop anytime I want.
While on my podcast wave, I came across some nice ones I thought I should share.
In no particular order.

Startup is a documentary series about entrepreneurial life from Gimlet Media. This podcast is about, what it’s really like to start a business. It’s hosted by Alex Blumberg, Co-founder and CEO of gimlet media . The first season was about how Gimlet Media was built. It has now been adopted into an ABC sitcom called Alex.

2. Acquired:
Acquired takes you behind the scenes of the best ( and sometimes worst) acquisitions and IPOs of all time. This includes acquisitions like Instagram, Whatsapp and IPOs like Xiaomi,Dropbox ,Facebook e.t.c. Hosted by Ben Gilbert and David Rosenthal. they even have a slack workspace where fans of the show interact.

This is a podcast hosted by the legendary Nigerian rapper Lanre Dabiri popularly known as eLDee the Don. He tells stories about his personal life, living in both Nigeria and America. He also covers topics around social issues, human philosophy, behavioral sciences and modern pop culture.

This is a podcast by Pulse Nigeria. The early episodes were hosted by Andre blaze but he later passed the torc h to Osagie Alonge . My African podcast is about famous Africans and their entrepreneurial journey.

5. CodeNewbie:
This is a podcast hosted by the Ethiopian beauty Saron Yitbarek. You get to hear stories and interviews from people on their coding journey. This podcast played an integral role in my coding journey when I started in May, this year. If you are a beginner , trust me this is one podcast you will enjoy.

This a weekly podcast hosted by Michael Kennedy where he invites passionate pythonistas and they talk about everything python and related topics.

7.Dataframed:
This is a DataCamp podcast hosted by Hugo bowne- Anderson. Hugo talks with Data Science experts from industry and academia on how they apply Data Science in their various fields. You should definitely check this out if you are a data science enthusiast like me.

8. Forloop Pod:
From the house of Forloop Africa, one of the largest tech community in africa, hosted by Ada Nduka Oyom also know as Kolokodess. on Forloop pod you get to hear interviews,technical talks and tech reviews . This is one of my favourite at the moment.

This is a podcast where you learn how to apply design thinking in your work and everyday life, Hosted by Dawan Stanford. Guests share insights on how to deliver with design thinking in Business,Heathcare,Education and other fields.

10. Cryto 101:
The average consumer guide to the cyptocurrency world. This is a podcast that fills the gap in your crypto knowledge.

11. TEF Audio Stories:
This podcast is powdered by the Tony Elumelu Foundation and it is hosted by Parminder Vir ,CEO of TEF . You get to hear the enterpreneurial journeys of the beneficiaries of the TEF.

12. Codecast Zambia :
Stumbled on this podcast recently and I have been stuck since. It is hosted by the “Python Khaleesi” ,Cynthia Mulenga(co-lead Developer Circles, Lusaka), Mukuma Musenge, Elias Phiri and Wezi Phiri. As a Nigerian one thing I like about this podcast (apart for my crush on Cynthia)is listening to a discussion about technology from a another part of Africa.
The benefits of listening to podcasts are enormous, I listen to podcasts atleast 8hrs a day, most times when I am commuting.
